In order for Crisis Point to provide a quality service that meets legal, professional, and ethical standards, the charity is a member of/registered with the below regulatory bodies.
Crisis Point is an organisational member of British Association of Counselling and Psycotherapy (BACP), we are bound by the Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy, the Ethical Guidelines for Researching Counselling and Psychotherapy (where organisations take research) and subject the the professional Conduct Procedure for the time being in force.

Crisis Point is a full member of The Survivors Trust, working to the recognised National Service Standards. The Survivors Trust is a national umbrella agency representing over 130 specialist rape and sexual abuse support centres in the UK and Ireland
The Data Protection (Charges and Information) Regulations 2018 requires every organisation that processes personal information to pay a fee to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), unless they are exempt. The Data Protection Act 2018 (DPA 2018), and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as it applies in the UK are relevant to Crisis Point as a Data Controller and Data Processor.
